Hilltop Haven FArms
Hilltop Haven is a family owned and operated small urban farm in northern Maryland. After a 24-year career in the Army, we launched Hilltop Haven as an organic, regenerative operation, however limited to our three mostly wooded acres.
2026 Is Going to Be a Busy Year!
We are transforming our lawn, and the entire property, into a pollen and nectar factory.
Not only for our honeybees, but to support local pollinators as well, such as butterflies and bumble bees. Planting our gardens, fruit trees and the farm has blackberries, raspberries and even wine berries in abundance. We are also expanding our laying chickens and adding quite a few more honeybee hives. Between clearing some of the land, building raised garden beds and construction of our honey and egg processing facility, we’ll never run out of things to do.

How We Launched
Hilltop Haven launched in the dead of winter, which seemed crazy at the time.
However, in hindsight, this allowed us time to get our farm in order. We had to register both our chicken flock and our honeybee colonies as well as obtain all our licenses and get our roadside stand ready.
Sometimes the best time to start is when everything else is still.
CSA & What We Offer
We launched Hilltophaven.com to bring both our love of gardening and beekeeping to others as well as share the pure, natural and organic products to our neighbors.
Hilltop Haven is fully committed to Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Through our website, farmer markets and directly from our farm, you’ll be able to get great, fresh, organic vegetables, eggs and raw, local and pure honey. Anything purchased from a supermarket can’t compare to local organic farm products.
Through our upcoming CSA program, you’ll be able to either subscribe for weekly farm deliveries or pick from whatever produce is in season. You’ll get your vegetables, herbs, even farm fresh eggs and pure local honey directly from us, no factory packing or machine handling or chemical coatings found in the supermarkets.
